Know Our Principal

Mr. Prashant Kumar Lal, born in Kathmandu, hails form Cuttack (Orissa, India). He had his early education in St. Xavier’s School, Kathmandu, Nepal. After doing graduation in Physics (Hons.) from St. Joseph’s College, Darjeeling, He did his Post graduation in Physics from University of Calcutta and worte many research papers afterwards. Later he obtained his B.Ed. degree from Annamalai University. He had been a residential student throughout. After his brief stint in Sarabhai and Glaxo Company as Medical representative and Area Manager, he switched over to teaching in the year 1986. He worked as Head of Physics Department and the Housemaster in a residential school in Mussoorie. It was in 1991 when he landed at the Lawrence School, Sanawar-a Premier IPSC school and the member of Round Square Conference of School (UK). He Performed as Physics Master and Sr.Housemaster. He was odd among the exceptional school teachers to have innovated Weather, Meteorology, Culb, Amateur Dramatic Society, Expression Club and had brought the school an honour being first in the country to own a Nuclear Physics Club. He contributed in various exchange programmes. He is a frank, versatile and a well travelled individual. He has been in the assignment of Principal since the year 2004. He bears a keen interest in English Literature. His first book of English poems ‘ Image of my experiences’ was published in the year 1998 and the second book of short stories ‘Glimpses’ is in line. He is also engaged in writing textbooks for Physics. Series of NCERT science book for classes 6th, 7th and 8th are published by Landmark publication from the session 2010 onwards. He was awarded with “Shiksha Rattan Award” and ” Rashtriya Gaurav Award” for the year 2007.Shri Lal fonds of rafting, mountaineering, rope climbing, badminton, cycling and tennis. He also takes interest in flying. He always looks forward for a platform from where he can do a lot improving human relationships. He looks forward with utmost preparedness to extend his serving hand to all the students and faculty. We are assured that the pennon of the school is handed over to a dependable educationist who will promulgate the slogan of this school from strength to strength.
